Boards and Committees - 'Get on Board'

How do you 'Get on Board'?

Step 1: Look interested

To register your interest, complete a Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies Registration Form on the Department of the Premier and Cabinet website. Or, phone 07 3224 2028 to ask for a registration form to be posted to you.

The register is a list of people who have expressed an interest in becoming a member of a government board or committee.

Step 2: Tell us all about yourself

Submit the Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies Registration Form to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet together with a copy of your curriculum vitae. Consult the Department's website for information about what to include in your curriculum vitae.

Please note that applicants under the age of 18 require their parent's or guardian's consent to register.

Step 3: Wait and see

When a position on a board or committee becomes vacant, ministers consult the register to find nominees with skills and attributes relevant to the position.

Step 4: Say 'yes'

If you are the nominee selected, a person from the government agency will contact you directly and ask if you will accept a position on the board or committee
