Engagement opportunities

Consultations

  1. Current consultations
When the Queensland Government or other public organisation makes decisions that affect the community they develop a "consultation" designed to gather feedback, ideas, issues, and information from the public. It is important that young people contribute to these consultations so that their perspective is represented. To find out about consultations that are happening now (including ammendments or new legislation when it is available for comment) visit our list of "Current Consultations".
  2. Previous consultations
Results or reports on the outcomes of consultations that are now closed are available here.

E-Petitions

  1. Current E-Petitions
An E-Petition is esentially a normal petition in online format. Under the Standing Orders of Parliament it has to be in the correct form, sponsored by a Member of Parliament, stating a grievance and containing a request for action by the House. You can elect to indicate your support of a Petition by electronically providing your name, address (including postcode), and email address. You can also access a form for requesting a Member of Parliament to sponsor a proposed E-Petition of your own. To find out about current E-petitions visit our list of "Current E-Petitions".
  2. Previous E-Petitions
There is also information available on previous Epetitions that have now closed.
