From 2001-2004 the Generate website held regular online chat's between young people and Member's of Queensland Parliament. This service was called Ministers Online. The online chats allowed young people from all over the state to chat informally with elected representatives, providing opportunities to comment directly to Ministers on issues of interest or concern.
Ministers Online gave young people a chance to discuss issues and raise questions with Queensland Government Ministers in a casual way, creating an open and honest dialogue and allowing young people to access Queensland Government decision-making in a way never before seen in government.
Throughout 2005 Ministers Online has undergone a period of planning and review and in 2006 Generate aims to host a new and improved version of the service. The online chats will feature better quality software, more focused topics and the ability to request particular government and community representatives as special guests in the online meeting environment.
