No internet. No mobile phone. No TV. No TV cameras ... think you can handle it?
Sailing onboard the Young Endeavour, you’ll be pushed outside your comfort zone as you work with 23 other young Australians from all walks of life and together learn to sail this magnificent tall ship.
Applications are now being accepted for youth crew for sailing adventures in
2008. But hurry, applications for voyages January - June close on 30 September.
You can sail into Sydney Harbour in the thick of the Australia Day celebrations,
migrate north to Cairns with the whales or take on the challenge of Bass Strait.
You can also look forward to increasing your self-awareness, developing your leadership and communication skills and doing it all whilst experiencing the outdoors at its best.
Young Australians aged 16 to 23 are eligible to take part in an 11-day Young Endeavour voyage.
In 2008 you have the opportunity to set sail from Hobart, Sydney, Melbourne, Southport, Bundaberg, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Magnetic Island, Hamilton Island, Gladstone, Brisbane, Sydney, Eden, Adelaide and Devonport.
Along the way you will also explore beautiful and remote coastal areas of Australia.
Young Endeavour is staffed by professional crew, whose experience and love of sailing goes a long way to ensuring you have the experience of a lifetime. Sailing experience is not necessary, in fact most youth crew have never sailed before.
